(see the label sticker on the engine) 5100 is semi-syntethic, as reccomended from suzuki.it's the right compromise, and more it exists 15w50 (better than 40 for sacs)

Your bike shouldn't have an oil cooler. If it does its aftermarket and the oil wont have any chance of coming in contact with the coolant. Your oil is mixing somewhere in the engine. I just did an oil change on a new-to-me K5 600. Oil selection basically comes down to personal preference, but I went with the Amsoil product. All tests and reviews that I have read seem to put the Amsoil on top.
